Changes & Traffic Effects:
The release of 300,000 plus square feet of office space in Cool Springs and in Brentwood is good news. Organizations seeking space in Cool Springs and in Brentwood have more opportunities. The move centralizes operations for HCA.
The effect of the move is yet to be determined. One thing is sure. There will be more cars downtown.
Over the past 30 years, Nashville’s population has just about doubled. In another 20 years, we expect a million more people.
New office buildings and new subdivisions mean we share the roads with more people. Employers are experiencing the crunch as their employees have trouble getting to and from work. Traffic congestion is cited as the problem. Drivers feel the frustration as they sit in traffic bottlenecks.
Whats in the works
Nashville is working to fix this. There is an ongoing project to synchronize the traffic lights. We have been promised improvements by year end. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
